In today's issue of X-men Gold #20, the crew is all separated after crashing in issue #19. Kitty and Colossus, still together, are stuck in a sandstorm with Colossus slowly fading. There is a back and forth of, "Leave me" and "No, I love you, I will never leave you" until Peter requires CPR. There is no gasp moment but we can safely assume he comes to.
They are discovered by Storm who is able to help carry a barely alive Peter back to the wreckage of their ship. With the help of Ink, Colossus is stabilized enough for the team to focus on escaping the negative zone. Obviously, they figure it out and we fast forward to two days later. Kitty has done some thinking, and the events that occurred have finalized something that has been a long time coming.
Will he say yes? He would be stupid not to. Now comes the issue. Has anyone ever been able to be, just happy? Bad fortune always follows X-Men who try to have their own lives and live in peace trying to find happiness. What will the future now hold for Kitty and Peter?
